What's in a Name?
I have often been asked how the name DewEye came into being. Well it's a sordid tale complete with foreign espionage and double entendres...
Basically, a few friends of mine went to see the movie Austin Powers. Evidently, because I have never personally seen it, the main spy character says on a couple of occasions in a very overly done British accent, "Do I make you Randy?"
Because I go by the name of Randy, the guys started calling me "Do I." Several spellings later, DewEye became my programming moniker (AKA hacker name) and eventually I used it for our company.
I still dig the name and although it has a somewhat questionable past, I believe it has become a trademark of off the hook coders with unquestionable skills and integrity.
